Microsoftが、企業顧客に対し、「Windows 10 Fall Creators Update（バージョン1709）」のサポートを6ヶ月延長したことが分かりました。
「Windows 10」のサポート期間は、一般向けは18ヶ月で、Enterprise及び教育期間向けエディションのEducationは30ヶ月となっており、「Windows 10 Fall Creators Update（バージョン1709）」のEnterprise/Education/IOT Enterpriseエディションは2020年4月14日でサポート終了となる予定でしたが、新型コロナウィルスの影響を考慮し、サポート終了日を6ヶ月延期するとのこと。
このサポート期間延長により、「Windows 10 Fall Creators Update（バージョン1709）」のEnterprise/Education/IOT Enterpriseエディションのサポート期間は2020年10月13日までとなります。
